US OPEN Racquetball Championships will be moving to the great City of Minneapolis in 2010 and beyond. USA Racquetball is proud to bring the sport of racquetball’s top professional event to Minneapolis.
The largest “Grand Slam” event will attract the biggest names iprofessional racquetball from the Men’s International Racquetball Tour (IRT), Women’sProfessional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) and the Classic Pro Racquetball Tour
(CPRT). Players will be competing for a prize purse total over $48,000 this year. The event is hosted by LIFE TIME FITNESS at three facilities with the Target Center location as the main host club. The amateur divisions attract nearly 700 players that come from all over the world. This event begins Wednesday, Oct. 20 and ends Sunday, Oct.
24. Aside from the world’s best racquetball, the US OPEN will once again support St.Jude Children’s Hospital. Since its inception in 1996, the tournament has raised morehan $260,000 for the Memphis hospital.
